Welp, it's official: 2024 is GOING TO BE 1984 instead of a "progressive" future.

The Canadian government has officially announced new regulations on streaming and podcasting services to operate within their borders in an attempt to “ensure online streaming services make meaningful contributions to Canadian and Indigenous content”.

These new regulations are announced alongside the United Kingdom passing the "Online Safety Bill" awaiting approval by the King, and the United States debating the RESTRICT Act in Congress to provide sweeping jurisdiction over internet activites by unelected bureaucrats in Washington, D.C.
